Tonight we have a Western dinner. I promised my boy who is not a big fan of Asian food. However he loves the usual sweet & sour, char sui, hoi sin and BBQ sauces.
It’s his treat tonight and he picked Gammon steaks. So he has gammon steak with bubble & squeaks with fresh lettuce from my garden. I have a very happy boy.
Crisp up the streaky bacon by placing them in between 2 baking sheets and baked in 200 C oven for 15 minutes. If your bacon is thicker it might takes 5 minutes more. Just give it a check now and again.
The gammon is just pan seared on a grilling pan and served with apple compote and tomato sauce (boy request). However I would have been plenty happy with just the apple compote.
